2. Information we collect
A. When you visit the Site
If you only browse the Site, we collect very little:Basic server and security logs (for example, IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps). These are used to keep the Site secure and running.
Contact information if you email us directly.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Site at this time. If we add analytics or cookies in the future, we will update this policy.B. When you use the App
BillRunway stores the financial information you choose to enter, such as:Income sources (name, amount, pay schedule, notes)
Bills and debts (name, amount, due dates, categories, notes)
Debt details you optionally track (balance, APR, credit limit, last four digits of a card, monthly fees)
Payment status and planning data (scheduled, paid, skipped, per-occurrence changes)
Household labels (for example, names you assign to bills)
App preferences (sort order, pay-period horizon, utilization target, onboarding flags)
We do not ask for or require:Full bank account numbers
Full credit or debit card numbers
Social Security numbers
Online banking passwords
You are responsible for what you choose to store in the App.3. Where your data is stored
On your Mac
Your data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.iCloud sync (optional)
If you are signed into iCloud on your Mac, BillRunway can sync your data to your private iCloud CloudKit database (iCloud.com.luisbarragan.payplan).Sync is tied to your Apple ID and Apple’s iCloud service.
We do not operate our own cloud servers for your financial data.
We cannot access your synced data.
If iCloud is unavailable or you are not signed in, the App continues to work locally on that Mac.App Demo profile
BillRunway includes an optional App Demo profile with sample data. Demo data is stored locally only and does not sync to iCloud.4. What we do not collect
We do not:Create a BillRunway account on our servers
Collect analytics or usage tracking inside the App
Sell or rent your personal information
Use your financial data for advertising
Automatically connect to your bank or pull transactions
The App does not send your bill or income data to our servers.5. Apple Intelligence (optional)
On supported Macs, BillRunway may offer an optional assistant powered by Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device.Assistant conversations are processed locally through Apple’s on-device models.
We do not receive copies of those conversations.
Apple’s handling of on-device intelligence features is governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
If Apple Intelligence is unavailable or turned off, you can still use BillRunway manually.6. How we use information
We use information only to:Provide App features (pay-period planning, bill tracking, debt payoff projections)
Sync your data through iCloud when enabled
Respond to support requests you send us
Maintain and protect the Site and App
We do not use your financial data for marketing profiles.7. When we share information
We do not share your App data with third parties except:Apple / iCloud — when you use iCloud sync, as described above
Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
Business changes — if BillRunway is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy
We do not share your data with advertisers.8. App Store purchases
If you download BillRunway from the Mac App Store, Apple processes payment and related account information under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your full payment card details.9. Data retention and deletion
App data: You can edit or delete bills, income, and other entries inside the App. Uninstalling the App removes local data from that Mac unless it remains in iCloud.
iCloud data: You can manage or delete iCloud data through your Apple ID / iCloud settings and by removing BillRunway data from devices signed into the same iCloud account.
Support emails: We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to help you and maintain records.
10. Security
We rely on Apple platform security, local device protections, and iCloud’s private database model. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we design BillRunway so your data stays on your devices and in your iCloud account—not on our servers.11. Children’s privacy
BillRunway is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.12. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information.Because BillRunway stores data on your Mac and in your iCloud account:You can view and change most data directly in the App
You can delete data in the App or through iCloud/device settings

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to verified requests as required.13. International users
If you use iCloud sync, your data may be processed by Apple in accordance with Apple’s terms and privacy practices. BillRunway itself does not transfer your financial data to our own servers.14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be noted on the Site.15. Contact us
